International Prospectus
Elite International School of Beauty and Spa Therapies Ltd is New Zealand’s largest and oldest established private provider of Beauty and Spa Therapy training.
We have 4 campuses:
- Mairangi Bay which is on the North Shore of Auckland City
- Newmarket which is close to the centre of the city
- Wellington which is close to the city centre and right near Te Papa Museum
- And Hamilton which is 2 hours south of Auckland city
We require our students to be 18 years and over and to have at least 3 years of secondary/high school.
They must have an IELTS academic level of no less than 6.0 and must be able to provide evidence of this on request.
Elite International conducts consultations with all prospective students to ensure that they are high calibre students who are strongly interested in studying beauty and spa therapy.
Elite does not have any on campus accommodation but we can arrange a home stay for newly arrived students in New Zealand.
We offer 3 main courses for our international students and are recognized by the New Zealand Immigration Services.
Certificate in Beautician
6 month full time

Professional Diploma in Beauty Therapy
1 year full time
Level 5 Diploma
Modules covered—Beautician, Body Therapies and Epilation
Course cost: NZ$16,150
Course related costs: NZ$1,800
Premier Diploma in Beauty and Spa Therapies
18 months full time
Level 5 Diploma
Modules covered—Beautician, Body, Therapy, Epilation and Spa Therapy
Course cost: NZ$22,950
Course related costs: NZ$1,800
Modules include:
Beautician
Health and hygiene, cleansing, analysis, massage, masks, electrical machines, make-up, eye lash and brow treatments, manicures, pedicures and waxing, professional practice and conduct, skin diseases and disorders, business studies, chemistry and physics.
Body Therapy
Exercise, figure analysis, electrical treatments for slimming and weight loss, all systems of the body, Swedish massage and nutrition.
Epilation
Full electrolysis hair removal treatment.
Spa Therapy
Aromatherapy, reflexology, hot stone massage, Indian head massage, Thermo Auricular Therapy, organic works, stress management, Vichy massage, balneotherapy, full body wraps and scrubs, spa facials, spa manicures and pedicures.
Course related costs
Course fees and costs include:
- All tuition fees for classes
- Access to all school facilities and equipment during school hours or by arrangement after class
- Uniform top(s) and jacket
- Text books
- Work books
- NZQA hook on and credit fees
- Student ID card
- Name badge
- Professional equipment kit (tools for beauty therapists)
- Linen for practical lessons and client days
- Cosmetic materials used in training and client days
- School exams
- All prices are GST inclusive
Course fees and costs do NOT include:
- General stationery items and supplementary text books
- Eye test
- Passport photographs
- First Aid course
- Make-up box (option at Newmarket campus only)
- Optional field trips
- External (International) exam fees
- Thesis and project binding
- Refundable locker deposit – ($30 at Mairangi Bay and Hamilton campuses)
- Accommodation and living expenses.

Elite International has 4 intakes per year at the Hamilton, Newmarket and Mairangi Bay campuses. They are in January, April, July and October every year. The Wellington campus has intakes commencing in January and July each year.
Elite International has agreed to observe and be bound by the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students published by the Minister of Education. Copies of the Code are available on request from this institution or from the New Zealand Ministry of Education website at http://www.minedu.govt.nz.
Fee Protection Elite International School of Beauty and Spa Therapies uses the Public Trust for fee protection. This ensures the fees are available in the unlikely event of insolvency, regulatory closure or withdrawal of accreditation of the school this is an NZQA approved method of fee protection. Eligibility for Health Services Most international students are not entitled to publicly-funded health services while in New Zealand. If you receive medical treatment during your visit, you may be liable for the full costs of that treatment. Full details on entitlements to publicly-funded health services are available through the Ministry of Health, and can be viewed on their website at www.moh.govt.nz
Accident Insurance The Accident Compensation Corporation provides accident insurance for all New Zealand citizens, residents, and temporary visitors to New Zealand, but you may still be liable for all other medical and related costs. Further information can be viewed on the ACC website at www.acc.co.nz.
